But George is just one media man who will not make it in trinidad - there are picture whose main job is to go out there and get photos and sell it. I work for the Associated Press and Quash is my photographer for AP stories - he need to ask quash how much he is paid for a photo. However from what i am reading it appears that the editorial centred on your "photo for use notice." Because i didnot hear the editorial i cannot comment on it. But, i do know that photographers has a right especially if its exclusive to claim compensation for their work - a good picture is not different to a good song or book. However, in Grenada the law is not specific with regards to copyright and regards to print work. Editorial usages require no model releases and no compensation for the parties depicted. Newspaper cover = editorial. Commercial usages DO require model releases and often compensate the parties depicted. Coke advertisement = commercial.
