GEORGE’S, GRENADA, TUESDAY, AUGUST 17, 2010: The general public is hereby informed that, effective Wednesday, August 18th, 2010, the retail prices of petroleum products (Gasoline, Diesel, Kerosene and LPG {Cooking Gas}) in the State of Grenada will be as follows: Grenada: Products Old Price New Price Gasoline $12.51/IG $ 12.60/IG Diesel $12.06/IG $ 12.01/IG Kerosene $ 8.72/IG $ 8.69/IG L.P.G (Cooking Gas): 20 lbs Cylinder $ 44.70 $ 44.60 100 lbs Cylinder $ 218.07 $ 217.61 Bulk $ 2.24/lb $2.23/lb Carriacou: Products Old Price New Price Gasoline $ 12.67/IG $ 12.76/IG Diesel $ 12.22/IG $12.18/IG Kerosene $ 9.25/IG $ 9.23/IG L.P.G (Cooking Gas) 20 lbs Cylinder $ 53.70 $53.60 100 lbs Cylinder $ 241.07 $240.61 Bulk $ 2.24/lb $2.23/lb Petit Martinique: Products Old Price New Price Gasoline $ 9.67/IG $ 9.76/IG Diesel $ 9.22/IG $ 9.17/IG Kerosene $ 9.25/IG $ 9.22/IG The new retail prices are computed based on the average FOB costs: that is; (ex-refinery prices), for the period, July 08, 2010 to August 09, 2010. Government will continue to implement the automatic retail fuel pricing mechanism which provides for adjustment of retail prices in accordance with movement in market prices for petroleum products. All consumers are encouraged to act wisely by conserving and using energy efficiently. Furthermore, consumers are encouraged to immediately notify the Price Control/Consumer Affairs Unit in the Ministry of Finance of any instance of overpricing at telephone number 440-1369.
